Leather jackets include approximately four inches of ease over the body chest measurement to support movement and light layering.
LEATHVORA SIZE GUIDE
Use the detailed charts below to select a comfortable fit for men’s, women’s and kids’ leather or shearling jackets. The charts follow US-style jacket sizing. If your measurements fall between two sizes, choosing the larger size generally provides a more comfortable layered fit. For sizing help, contact support@leathvora.com.
Sizing Formulas
Shearling styles use additional ease because the sheepskin lining is thicker and takes up more interior space.
If your measurements sit between two sizes, select the larger option. Leather may soften with wear, but the garment itself should not be expected to stretch by a full size.
How to Measure
Men’s Jacket Measurement Diagram
Use a soft measuring tape and follow the same measurement points shown below for chest, waist, hip / seat and sleeve length.
Chest Measurement
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the armpits and across the shoulder blades. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and snug without pulling it tight.
Waist Measurement
Measure around your natural waistline at the narrowest part of your torso, about 1 inch above the belly button. Stand straight, keep your stomach relaxed, and do not pull the tape tight.
Hip / Seat Measurement
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually about 7–9 inches below the natural waist. This measurement is especially important for bomber jackets and longer jacket styles.
Sleeve Length
Start at the center back of your neck, run the tape across the shoulder to the shoulder bone, then continue down the outside of a slightly bent arm to the wrist.

Fit Tips
- Leather softens with wear: genuine leather gradually conforms to the body, so a close but comfortable new fit can relax slightly over time.
- Check the shoulders first: the shoulder seam should sit close to the edge of the shoulder bone because shoulder structure is difficult to alter.
- Allow for layering: if you regularly wear thick hoodies or sweaters underneath, consider moving up one size.
- Different cuts fit differently: café racer and biker silhouettes are often slimmer, while bombers and shearling styles usually provide more room.
- Measure your body: use current body measurements instead of relying on the labelled size of another jacket or another brand.
